贺诗婷、陈同强：尊敬的老师、亲爱的同学们，早上好！

陈同强：今天我们演讲的题目是《走向十年，走向远方！》。

贺诗婷：today our speech topic is 《head for the tenth year, head for the future》.

陈同强：一个人，几个人，十几个人，几十个人，荆棘鸟一样唱着，吸引了一群人，渐渐从四面八方走来，来到一块叫新东方的土地。新东方的土地上，开始有了无穷碧的莲叶，有了线装书味道的小木桥，有了烈火一样燃烧的枫叶，有了满园的茶花，静悄悄的小河。

贺诗婷：one person, several people and more and more people, just like the lyrics sung by the thorn birds. it attracts a large crowd of people from all over the country who come to this land called new oriental. since then, the school has had a new look such as the green lotus leaves, the wooden bridge, the red maple leaves, the beautiful camellias and the quiet stream.

陈同强：十年，“述往事，思来者”，十年，人间沧桑，天地正道。新东方即将走过十年历程，在今天的升旗仪式上，又恰逢教师节，我们感慨万千。在这个具有特殊意义的日子里，我们请几位老师来到这里，他们分别是建校之初、建校五周年和今年加入新东方的老师，还有我们可爱的外教，让我们来听听他们的心声吧！

贺诗婷：首先掌声有请何璐老师！

何璐：2003年，我来到新东方。十年的成长与蜕变，从开始的副班主任到音乐教师，再到负责学校的团委工作，新东方给了我一次又一次实现理想的平台，更让我深刻地领会了王校长提出的“无条件地爱每一个孩子”的教育理念，使我懂得了教育孩子要从爱开始。

刚担任副班主任工作的时候，我信心百倍。然而一切并不像想象中美好。第一次，我满怀欣喜地到教室宣读内务评比成绩，同学们高声议论着、谈笑着、逗闹着，不管我多高分贝叫喊，也不管敲击讲桌的声音有多刺耳，他们自顾自地说着，笑着，我无计可施，愤然离去，刚出教室门，我的眼泪如潮水般涌出，特别的委屈伤心。老教师安慰着倍感委曲的我：“他们都是孩子，我们也都是从那个时候过来的，谁那时不淘气呢？”我的心情舒缓了许多。

是啊，苏霍姆林斯基说：“一个好的教师意味着——他热爱孩子，相信每个孩子都能成为好人，愿意跟他们交朋友，关心孩子的快乐与悲伤，了解孩子的心灵，时刻都不忘记自己也曾经是个孩子。”从此，我以大姐姐和朋友的身份和他们交流，当年调皮的大男孩如今都是我的朋友，很多父母都不知道的心事愿意倾诉给我听。 

为了爱的执着，我们坚韧，我们刚强，我们付出，我们奉献，我们无怨……这就是我们,新东方教师的灵魂。

我相信，我们都愿意相信，十年,时间会公正地给予新东方闪耀的火焰和光芒！

贺诗婷：it takes ten years to grow trees and also ten years to make a sword.

i came here ten years ago. during these ten years, i have grown a lot and changed a lot. it is new oriental that gives me the opportunities to realize my dream. it is new oriental that helps me understand principle wang’s educational concept “love every child unconditionally”. since that time, i have known that educating children begins with love.

we are firm and persistent; we are strong and devote ourselves; we are dedicated and have no complaints. this is the soul of new oriental’s teachers.

i believe we are willing that time will endow the new oriental shining flames and lights.
